What is nice about these lizards is that, in times of danger they usually change their colors and will blend with the environment and in a very rapid way.

Usually you will often see blue belly lizard in California where it is indigenous, as well as to some parts on Nevada, Utah, Idaho, Oregon and some other islands near California. You will not see them in deserts because they are most common in elevations that are higher. They are often seen as well in some post fence relaxing and in shrubs and tree trunks.

Just like any other reptiles, these lizards also have some disease that they carry such as the Lyme disease. Usually the ticks are the ones who carry these Lyme diseases, and when they die the lizards will eat them which will then the bacteria will be transferred to them.
